There was that guy like 10 years ago on reddit who made a joke about how you have to toss your deodorant in the trash in the TSA line, and he said something like "If it's potentially a bomb, you're just gonna throw it in a trash can?"
Shortly after, he had his car in for service and they found a battery powered GPS tracker attached to his car -- he posted about it on reddit with pictures of the device. It blew up (no pun intended) on various news sites, then the feds showed up at his door to collect their device.
Reddit has already done to this to multiple people.
