I think there's a case to be made for some to be on Twitter to red pill, but unless you've got at least 50 thousand followers, you're a speck of dust as far as having any impact there.

Gab really isn't that bad technically and rather than complaining about how slow it is, get an account and be a paid subscriber to help improve it. It's the best platform we have for free speech. We should be helping it grow until there's another alternative.

Trump's new platform sounds great on paper but you can't build a platform overnight and the smart thing to do would be to build on something that's working or at least merge in an existing platform like Signal, Telegram, and/or Gab.
