So I was circumcised as a baby and I personally don't mind that my parents did that. BUT isn't it similar to giving children hormone blockers (obviously not as extreme, but the principle). To my understanding the surgery is purely cosmetic and causes the nerve endings to be destroyed making sex less pleasurable. Do you guys support parents circumcising their children? Is it ethically wrong to make that decision for a child?

At first I thought I got transferred to some crazy Reddit forum. I'm circumcised and trust me, my nerve endings are great. It's much better for keeping clean and the ladies and I love the look. As for making health decisions for a child, that's what parents do for many aspects of the child's life. Do it.

"that's what parents do for many aspects of the child's life"

this is an argument the left would say if they were advocating for hormone blockers. js

And I obviously don't know how much the nerve ending thing is true, but idk it just seems weird that we perform a mostly cosmetic surgery on kids.

You can't ask a newborn baby to make any decisions, yet the parents and doctors do every second of the day. Don't bring in hormon blocker crap to boost your argument. Jeez

im not making the hormone blocker to boost my argument I am using it to ask about how you can be philosophically consistent if hormone blockers and circumcision both irreversibly effect that child's life (obviously to different extents). why is one decision okay to make while the other isn't?
