Go ahead, check the exempt box on your W-2. Not paying taxes isn’t as easy as one thinks.

I could not check the button that asks if I want federal taxes withheld from my unemployment checks. But I have a feeling if you decide to do that the next step will be cutting off my checks or at least garnishing that money back.

Considering you don’t actually pay your taxes but your employer does I would guess you’re right. Unless you are a contractor on 1095 your screwed. Your employer will be held accountable this you will be held accountable by them. No sane business will put there tax accounting in jeopardy over an employee. Much the same as no businesses have been putting their licenses in jeopardy over customers not wearing masks, generally speaking.

But muh private companies! Oh man I'm not leftist but the people who think that just because it's a private company means they can all coordinate to deprive people of their basic rights is ridiculous
