The illusion of trust is done. I hardly believe in the merits of the Capitol Police's investigation: "We investigated ourselves and found that we did nothing wrong." David Bailey could very well be the bastard.
Initially misidentified as Agent David Bailey, based on photographic/video evidence, Babbitt's killer has now been identified as Capitol Police Lieutenant Michael Leroy Byrd.
Who shot Ashli? Say his name!
"Special" Agent David Bailey.
Who named his AR-15 Ashli? ME.
The US Capitol Police put out a statement that David Bailey was not the officer involved. Source: https://www.uscp.gov/media-center/press-releases/us-capitol-police-statement-regarding-media-misidentification-officer
But they still refuse to name the actual shooter.

Well, whoever it is needs to be executed.
And do you believe them?
Look at the wording. It's weasel words. Saying reports are inaccurate is not the same thing as David Bailey did not shoot Ashli Babbitt.
It could be the case but always be guarded when statements try to get you to make assumptions instead of stating plainly.
The photo of Lt Byrd does appear to be a closer match though. As a pede has stated.
It was a different black officer. It was posted here a few days ago. They identified him by a watch/bracelet he had which matched his Facebook photos.

I agree, it looks more like Michael Leroy Bryd than David Bailey.
Ah. Thanks. Must have missed that.
