We aren’t going to “take over” the GOP - it would be like trying to turn a car wash into a Burger King - the GOP are not conservatives or MAGA and never will be - they are multinational corporate shills
I beg to differ. My county GOP just elected new leadership to replace the old. The new group of people is America first. We've never had so many new people show up to meetings, either. It is possible.
Yes. Same here. We just went through our GOP reorg. 77 OUT OF 79 DELEGATES IN OUR COUNTY MAGA DELEGATES. Our maga officer candidates didn't win, but we got a win on delegates! Are you a delegate of your precinct? Congrats btw!
I disagree also. You look at the GOP and their statement, they are conservative and they are our party. We just need a leader like Trump to show us how to fight and win.
Trump is old, and only one man, and has everything against him, but he did better at this than anyone prior.
Currently, the GOP has 1 single advantage for us -- a different name than Dems.
People who are angry at what the Dems are doing will vote GOP. That's just how it works. So we can either replace this hideous global scumbucket of the GOP by taking it over locally and replacing the candidates, or we can form a new group of MAGA, which will get some votes, but not enough, and ensure that even more swamp creatures are able to say they're not Dems.
I follow that reasoning - just makes me think of that quote about beating the enemy while your own camp is full of traitors - we might as well take over the dem party because they embody MAGA as much as the GOP.
The GOP will and HAS already sold us out when it counted the most - I don’t see how bringing in spies and traitors helps us get off the ground.
I sorta feel like it’s like trying to build a latrine in the middle of your enemies camp because they have a partial hole dug...
Exactly, they are multinational corporate shills and the only way to get them out is to drive them out of the party one way or another.
The easiest way would have been for Trump to make a new party and take 75% of the voting base away instantly and make a new party with better people in positions of power.
The only problem is Trump is terrible at choosing people and knowing who to trust (spoiler: none of them in the republican party can be trusted)
I've been a huge fan of Trump since the beginning, but he really cucked out on us this last year. Support the GOP! Take your vaccines! We'll vote harder next time! How pathetic.

More like him will rise.

Srsly tho, a guy like trump could have ended the gop, by stealing their base and even gobbling up a good chunk of old school, blue collar dems
