I go to Burger King about once every 10 to 15 years, order a whopper, then realize why it's been 10 years since I have been there.

I am old enough to remember when Burger King first came out and they had decent burgers back then. Sometime in the 1980s they went down hill.

There was a good episode of some food science podcast that explained why fastfood went to shit in the 90s.

It was some "scientist" that convinced the entire fucking world that frying things in lard was bad because of fats , transfats (it's ma'am), and cholesterol, he didn't actually understand.

The food got less healthy, more synthetic, and race to the bottom on prices to appease poor people meant more frozen with more fillers.

If I'm eating there it's usually because I'm hungry at the airport and have another flight in 15 minutes and they always seem to have the shortest line, go figure.
