The state and defense rested today. Jury comes back Monday for closing arguments, so they're going to deliberate.
The state has been pretty fucking shitty this whole trial. They're CLEARLY trying to convict this dude purely on political reasons. They're with holding evidence, they're pulling bullshit left and right that has to get sustained, they throw fits every hour, they have an entire TEAM against Chauvin's two lawyers, they've spent AT LEAST 1.5 million dollars on "experts" and they couldn't even establish intent. They didn't even TRY to establish intent.
In order for Murder to be Murder, there needs to be intent. It's not there. So, Murder is out. That leaves Manslaughter 3. Which, considering the circumstances, there's so much doubt as to what actually killed Floyd, that you can't say Chauvin killed him beyond a reasonable doubt.
So I'd imagine it's going to go to a hung jury that ends in a mistrial, the state will decline to re prosecute due to cost, and then Minneapolis will be set ablaze.
But even if they convict him, Manslaughter 3 is 5 years. That won't be enough for BLM. They'll riot. They'd fucking riot if he got the death penalty. Because it's not about justice. It's about destabilizing and taking things they think is owed to them. But just like their "justice", there will never be enough stuff in the world that they can loot that will satisfy them.

I honestly doubt this. They have unlimited money and they'll do anything to get him thrown under the jail
I agree this will be a hung jury. There's at least a few jurors that would convict even if Floyd himself came back to life and said he killed himself
