Notice How Indian Warren doesn't ever talk about how RIDICULOUS the cost of education is... State Universities online classes should be like $50 each, in my opinion, and all the material included online... everyone can afford $50 classes.

Plenty of cheaper choices, kids don't want to choose those because they don't have the bells and whistles. They don't choose wisely, and they don't have parents and counselors that guide them wisely.
I chose a community college, super cheap, paid cash. My husband is going to a university that is about $5K a year full time, we are paying cash because we don't tick off any boxes. Neither of us picked stupid degrees. Our colleges do not have sports, dorms, massive food programs, and other pricey add-ons.
We are in our 40s, but all of our young kids did a version of this. Only one has a bit of outstanding debt that will be paid off within 2 years of her bachelors degree graduation. They also did not choose stupid degrees and are using them for good paying jobs.
