I work in food distribution, and this is like the 4th conference call I've been on where stories have been relayed about people that simply stopped showing up to work after they got their stimmy checks.
The lesson is simple. If you pay people not to work, they won't work.
Wages are going up, but it's doubtful that this will create any additional buying power as prices rise.
It's not surprising that the stimmy checks are backfiring because government manipulation of market equilibriums always backfire.
Harbor freight in my town is paying $16.18 an hour... and they can not find employees.
Backfire? Communism seeks to destroy ALL small buisness. Seems like its working excatly as planned.
