Shingles starts out feels like a mosquito bite that won't stop itching.

Zinc based diaper ointment helps. If you know what to look for you can get treatment and not have the full effects of shingles, in some cases the nerve pain is very long lasting (years)

Shit's not fun because you can get infections all over the head, including the eyes.

Just about anyone is at risk because most people have had chickenpox as children. Same virus that stays dormant until it gets triggered by a compromised immune system decades later and causes shingles.
