I've been attacked a few times today by cucks who refused to have an open discourse with me on this, so I want to see what everyone thinks.

My hot take on this issue is that although it is sad that this woman was shot, I think the officer made the right call in the moment, and hope that I would do the same in his shoes.

It seems a modern trend to pick and choose alternating stances just because the political majority or your peers say you should, and there are a lot of loud voices out there repeating other people's opinions as if they were their own original thoughts.

My position is that a man should choose his ground and defend it. This is applicable to both your political beliefs and this fiasco itself.

I know that if Antifa attacked the white house while President Trump was there, I would want the guards to unleash hate and let the bodies rot on the fences.

I hate that we've chosen limp-wristed parasites to stack congress, but that doesn't make it okay in my mind for our primary seat of government to be attacked by anyone.

Put yourself in that cop's shoes. He's taken an oath, the weight rests on his shoulders, and he was charged with defending our nation's capitol.

Now, I don't know Ashli or her family, but it would stand to reason that they would understand that actions have consequences. This generation of people thinking they can get away with anything comes from a removal of living close to death and a belief in psuedo-immortality, and every so often a reminder comes across that the things you do can come back on you.

If I was that cop, I'd have been watching a tide of random people pushing in through the doors, ostensibly trying to get to the VIPs under my protection, and I would have downed anyone that crossed the line of no return.

That cop held his ground, and I'm proud that he did.

Please argue this point with me, I'm interested in everyone's opinion.

I think she was the ONLY person through that broken window, and he should have gotten her attention and told her to get flat first. Just me; you are not wrong that it's a judgement call, but with two guys armed with M4 standing just behind her, I don't think he had to put her down.

That's a fair point, but mob mentality is the same as herd movements. I'm assuming he decided to let none pass, and figured a single death would stop anyone from continuing to try. Cow the few and the rest will follow. Snake heads and tails, and all that.

I agree, thus "judgement call." I can also see why it is infuriating that we are faced with the ridiculous double standards (e.g. setting a building on fire WITH OFFICERS TRAPPED IN IT and no charges).

We are heading to a bad place, and too many people want it to go there to stop it.

Exactly! And that's just my point. I feel like we WANT so much to be right sometimes that we disregard the possibility of being wrong. The hate builds, the boulder starts to tumble downhill, and we can't stop it. We allow others to make up our minds for us on social media, we bottle up all of our rage, and we let it go at sometimes the wrong times.

Here's my equal opportunity opinion:

Cop shoots unarmed man for no reason: kill the cop.

Rioters attack citizens: kill the rioters.

Anybody at all attacks you or yours: kill that anybody

The airwaves would be a lot less cluttered if some of these people that nature would have taken earlier were made to pay the piper.

im not, this is a very plausible discussion topic, lots of grey area to explore. i wont shit on someone asking questions or trying to provoke thoughts outside the box.
