If Putin invades Ukraine, then you can thank him if there is war. He would be the instigator and anyone fighting to protect Ukraine's sovereignty is in the right to do so. Hopefully in this case, Europe stands up against Russia. But since they are growing more dependent on Russian gas everyday, I suspect Europe won't do jack shit, and Russia can invade and build their road through Donbass to Crimea without much resistance. Nobody will recognize the new Russian oblast, and will sanction Russia some more, but that is peanuts to russia owning eastern/southeastern Ukraine.

They are in Crimea, and they are heavily influencing Donbass/Donetsk. But there is still another two oblasts to overtake to create a land bridge from Russia to Crimea. There is a very long Crimean Bridge from Russia over the Kerch Straight to Crimea. But from what I read, if Russia invades it is to officially take over Donbass and other oblasts in order to create a land bride to Crimea. Basically it would be Russia taking over east/southeast Ukraine, officially. Seems like a huge operation, which will see strong resistance, so seems to be it is very unlikely to happen. Possibly this is all saber rattling, and fear mongering, by the democrat/globalist media to make Russia look bad.

In 14 when they first invaded they tried a similar thing, they had 8 brigades in the initial invasion that we were tracking, and were hoping all the confusion from the media and crimea at the time would let them peixemeal eat up the ukrainian army at the time. Fortunately the ukrainians figured out what was going on and mobilized their entire army to the east in 3 days ( was actually the fastest mobilization of a force that size in history) and were able to stop it. The Russians had to decide if they wanted to engage in open force on force combat to continue, and apparently withdrew since they judges that would be a step too far. This time it looks like they just don't give a f.. and will go into outright force on force combat...
