This will be how they do it. When the time comes, these thugs will “magically” be equipped with pickup trucks and weapons. Roving bands of drug-crazed blacks will invade and terrorize the white suburbs. It will all be driven by the woke communists and the tech oligarchs. They will know why it’s happening. They will not stop it. They will urge you to relocate to “safety zones” for you own good. You will need to leave your possessions behind. The internet will stop working in your area: no cable, no cell. You will be alone, silenced, cut off from the world. No one will come to help you.

There is a post that circulates around the internet about, I think, Rhodesian forces picking up AKs off of dead enemy soldiers. They couldn't figure out why the elevation was always set to 300 yards when these fights were happening at nearly knife distance.
I'm pretty sure there is no way to be sure now, but one theory advanced at the time was that by sliding it up to the maximum, it was making the gun "shoot harder".
Last summer, when I was trolling the couch-BLM types, I was telling them that if they ever left the city and wanted to try that shit in MAGA-land, if they were ever tresspassing and noticed numbers painted on the landmarks on the side facing the house, they should quietly and politely back away and leave before they were noticed because the homeowner knew their exact range.
I don't want a civil war here because I have no illusions that it would be quick, fun or sure. But those two anecdotes give my impression of how familiar the bulk of the two sides currently are with the mechanical implements.
