Practice dryfiring, Olympic marksmen dryfire many more times than they fire in training. Get a decent pellet rifle or pistol. Top quality pellets run penneys each. If you like blasting get a paintball gun, driveby a blm/antifa protest. Don't stop!!!
I had to come back to this. Run n gun shooting is a game. If you think you can use police and military clearing tactics as an individual, you are a dumbass. In a battle if you don't have a battle line, fall back position or ability to start from a safe cleared position, you are dead as soon as they see movement. An overwatch position with accurate firepower provides security for movement. An enemy sniper can eliminate your squads ability to work as a team. What are you going to do if that happens? Call for air support? Artillery? Flank them if you can even find them? They are already gone, positioned for the next attack.
.LOL at your attack on marksmanship training. It is but one tool in the toolbox. We won't be attacking the skinnies in the cities, we prefer they stay there. If they come to the country, well good luck with that. If it is gov soldiers paying us a visit, what the fuck do you think your run and gun will do besides fertilizing the dirt? Think Revolutionary War tactics, Afganistan, Vietnam. Hit em and run, ambushes.
It’s a fun more relevant game than shooting at 1000 yards.
Practical shooting is not just a bunch of room clearing drills. Practicing self defense in a manner more like what one would encounter is better than pretending a rifle at 100 yards with no stress and 1” groups means shit. Kyle didn’t encounter a threat at 100 yards, he did shit that is very much within the realm of ipsc.
But please stay on target(pun intended). The original post meme implied what would happen if the rioters tried their shit in rural or country areas. I am not so stupid to put myself in the middle of a riot situation. The rioters would be addressed way before they reached my home or neighborhood.
Can I defend my self? You bet. Have I trained for multiple targets and snap firing? That too. Is it safer to defend from cover and concealment. Absolutely.

I might not be able to use the 9mm or 5.56; you see, y'all idiots dried up all the ammo. As a result, I can't train as much, which leads to poor aim, which leads to me needing to use a more forgiving firearm, such as a shotgun. I would use other rounds, but my aim just ain't the same as it used to be.

If that is your 300 yard target, you are improving. Work on your breathing and trigger pull, we need the best marksmen when the time comes.
For urban encounters of self defense? Forget your army and old school NRA training bs. IPSC and two/three gun style shooting is the way.

Get a 22 to practice with. 22 rounds are cheap and available even here in California.
