STILL forcing students to wear masks.
I've spent the entire time pursuing my Mechanical Engineering bachelor's keeping my head down because conservatives get targets put on their backs in academia. I knew going in it was a hostile environment, I resigned myself to playing by their fucked up ever-changing rules just long enough to get the degree and pass the professional tests. But damnit, I have not worn a mask anywhere, at any point in time, this entire fucked up year. It's the line I decided I would not cross. But the school is saying they're expelling students for non compliance with their covid rules.
I've got 3 semesters left and I've got to either give up on my principles to get the degree or risk being expelled right before the finish line.
This is such bullshit. I don't even have anyone to fucking vent to about it. Desantis does an EO you can't be fined for noncompliance, that's GREAT. Public University still gets to kick you out anyway without repercussions.
Depressing
I'd get an actual virus proof suit with an external air filter or a similar getup. When they complain about it, explain that it's really the only way to be safe, and that anyone not wearing the same level of protection is endangering others.
You could also go trans, claim the mask messes up your makeup which you must wear to feel like a woman, and file a discrimination complaint against everyone who so much as looks at you funny.
