Yes. There's two types of ingroup traitors, those who exploit the ingroup preference for their own personal game, and those who sell out their own for a chance at the top of the pile.

Why do white liberals sell out their own? Because they know what the top is and they know they personally aren't fit for it, that they can't ever measure to their parents or that their parents struck luck they can't expect to have. So, they sell out their rich and white parents because they know they are bound to fail regardless.

Black commies, on the other hand, know what the bottom is (even if they never been anywhere close to it) and know how easy it's to exploit, they also know they are bound to the bottom regardless, unless they exploit anyone they can, and the easiest ones to exploit is anyone that trusts them. So they do exactly that.

As CRT creator said "we thought we'd be living debauched bohemian lives by now", the communist game is not to establish communism, it's to live debauched bohemian lives at the expense of others, as long as they get that, it doesn't matter how unlikely it's to achieve stalin's position. But trying to achieve that using communism as an excuse is essentially what the path to communism is, even it's proto forms.

First communes where akin to manson's cult, christian cults focused on a messianic figure doing really fucked up shit, much akin to the mormons or amish.

The fascist realized that, the only way to achieve that goal is the cult of the great leader, the cult of the people, and it doesn't matter what the excuse is. They were right, when it comes to that kind of goal, it doesn't matter the excuse as long as it stick.

And the modern communists learned it, which is why revolution needs to be "perpetual", it needs to evolve ever better excuses otherwise the people get wise to it.

And one thing they noticed is that if they get too big, they die, IE, they need to always pose as the underdog.
