They actually did politely protest the British - consistently - for about 10 years. Even after the shooting started (by accident, look up Lexington and Concord) there was still many who insisted they go back to peaceful protesting.
Their problem, like our problem, is they didn’t have a leader who could rally them to shoot, as well as no one believed they could’ve won.
Exactly. This is part of the process. The tyranny has to build to an intolerable point before the shooting starts. The hope is that they listen to our protest and our voice before the shooting starts. Then we can avoid that mess.
