How about people just do what the fuck cops tell them to do without question. Let's start there.

I learned, from my dad, early on in my life: the time to argue your case with the cops isn't when it's happening. Take the ticket or citation or arrest, call me, I'll call the lawyer and let him argue it for you...knowing you're safe.

Oh. “The talk”?

The talk that literally every good parent has with their children but blacks want an award for doing?

"You can't talk yourself out of handcuffs, only in to them. If you get hemmed up by the police for being an idiot, shut the fuck up and you can get a lawyer later if you need it." -My grandpa paraphrased.

"Dont answer any questions. Be polite. Request legal counsel if you are detained. Don't answer any questions." -Retired lawyer from church

What's funny is, shortly after, I had two incidents with the cops in my 18th and 19th year. I was working at a college and we were pulling 24hr shifts at the ITV department in preparation for the Fall Semester. My boss cleared it with the PD and told them there would be all-night activity for the next two weeks, just so they were aware

My shift was 4PM to Midnight and I walked out to my car to grab my "lunch" at 10PM and 2 cops pulled their pieces on me. Patrol desk didn't inform them. The held me at gunpoint, cuffed me and called it in. They were told "all was clear" my name ran through, duty sgt forgot to inform them.

They apologized, and the next morning my boss reamed their Duty Sgt's LT.

The entire time I yessir nossir'd. Complied and was not argumentative. I dropped my bag of food and hands shot upward.

As an aside, I am the epitome of white as fuck.

73% single motherhood rate.

The reason the commercial world is so rife with black families is that they are SO unbelievably rare that people need to feel good about seeing them on TV.

I learned from my uncle the police chief, don't fail the Asshole Test. Pull over. Turn the car off, turn on the overhead light if it's night, keep your hands on the wheel and don't take them off until asked or you ask, be polite, and keep your mouth shut. Take the ticket - the time to argue it, is in front of the judge.

And, rule number one: don't give cops a reason to pull you over.

I disagree but agree. They're idiots and probably the cops know better. You see one genius get away with it and they think "That's literally me."

Idiots. Saying that cops try to bust me for saying stuff rather than you know actually hurting people beyond hurting their feelings then there's going to be trouble.

I'd rather die than be forced to be stupid. I mean wow I got what was coming to me, well that was coming to me anyway so best make it worthwhile.

Do you know what makes me really angry? No one does anything apart from these criminals.

When they do is it because of cops doing wrong? No it's because of cops doing right but it happens to look like something else.

Why aren't people all out on the street tearing cops a new one who follow stupid orders blindly like arresting a single person at a beach?

There's a point where we need not explain it. What we need to do is take it out on the cops who do wrong, the press who does wrong or basically anyone doing wrong.

They need to feel our wrath for a change.

If cops pull me over and immediately have guns out, I would freeze up a bit too. Especially if I’m in camo and they seem jumpy. The fact that after spraying him, they then figured out his plate was taped on the inside like it could be is the part that I dislike the most. Really, guns blazing because a license plate?!

Would you lean out the window asking "What's going on?" fifty times like a retard?

He was looking for a payday and that was it. I wouldn't want to be under this race hustler's command.

This is true. Former police officer here. I'm not sure why they had guns out for just a lack of a temp tag. That seems weird and I would have to see the whole stop to assess.

However, I've dealt with a ton of people like this who have to question ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING about what you are doing. Some clarification is fine, but when asked and told at gunpoint multiple times to do something. Just do it and then clear things up later. Shouting from the front seat of a car when the situation is not clear for the responding officers is not the correct time. The guy was being a douchebag looking to escalate under the guise of clarification.

If you're scared of police, do you know what you should do when contacted? How about fucking comply and then sue or take legal action later. Don't drive off, don't resist, don't refuse to follow orders, don't yell, don't shout. Why this is so hard to understand I do not get.

In general, I hated pulling over or contacting black people. Call me racist, I do not care. Most black people, just like every other race, are fine law-abiding people. However, many a time it's "race, race, race, race, race!" for the entire encounter. Often times the calling party would be black, my partner would be black, the suspects would be black, and the victim would be black. Yet, I show up and I'm a "racist piece of shit!" My cynical guess is that this guy is just a victim hustler and saw his time to shine in the spotlight. He pulled out the phone and refused to comply with repeated commands. Now he's championed because some "probably" dumbass officer fell for his bait. Give me a break.

As with all media reports of these incidents, I HAVE to see the whole unedited video before even thinking about passing judgment on the officers. The media habitually makes it looks worse on the officers than in reality.

Yes, i would put my hands out of the driver's side window and ask them 'what the fuck?' until they either told me or pulled me out because i'm not making any movements with guns drawn.

They initiated it because he failed to stop after lights and sirens continuing on for over a mile. Nothing was seen or said in the video about him ever "signaling" he was going to pull over. Now his lawyer brings that up. The cops tell him at one point that was why he was pulled over the way they pulled him over.

ltbadpuppy 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah depending on where he is from that can be considered normal. In Texas, cops were having issues with fake cops, so they released into saying you can drive to a well lit area when a cop is pulling you over, you can call 911 to talk with someone as they are doing it, etc. if they’re pulling guns on him for that, they should be fired.

Yes respect government authority. Always be a compliant bitch.

When that authority is reinforced with a firearm, and permission to end your life if necessary, then it’s probably a good idea to follow directions in that moment.
