My dad said all hell was breaking loose in the early 70s and lots of people getting killed and inflation and he said there are a lot of similarities. Wondering if this period is comparable to what is taking place now in America? Is Jimmy Carter like Joe Biden?

The Boomers reached full adulthood and became more conservative, traditional, and interested in material comfort and wealth. The 1976 bicentennial, Ronald Reagan, and Americana like “Happy Days”, “Rocky”, “Superman”, and the escalation of the Cold War (and the 1980 US hockey team) led to a nostalgia for simpler times, and a popularization of patriotic themes.
It is hard to say what will turn the tide now. The population was still 85% white in the 1970s. The election of Trump, and the MAGA movement felt very similar to that ‘76-‘80 period. My feeling is that eventually, we will throw off this medical tyranny, and with it the whole Marxist CRT control-freak tyranny. We will rejoice in our freedoms, and laugh in the face of those who try to bend us with racist epithets.
