Older Pedes --- I was born in 1982 but I read and heard from family members that this period is like the 1970s and civil unrest and riots. Is this an apt comparison and what quelled this period? President and laws or just died down on its own?

My dad said all hell was breaking loose in the early 70s and lots of people getting killed and inflation and he said there are a lot of similarities. Wondering if this period is comparable to what is taking place now in America? Is Jimmy Carter like Joe Biden?

Ronald Reagan did it. He ended the Iran hostage crisis immediately upon taking office and set about reversing every disaster the commie Carter had set in motion, including lifting price controls on oil.
