My dad said all hell was breaking loose in the early 70s and lots of people getting killed and inflation and he said there are a lot of similarities. Wondering if this period is comparable to what is taking place now in America? Is Jimmy Carter like Joe Biden?

Mid 60 born. Experienced the 1970s as a kid helping to keep the family floor installation business afloat.
A LOT of what is happening now is the shit that happened then.
The economy is in a precarious state, and now we are vulnerable to a massive energy disruption which can and will happen.
Further, biden exhibits the same weakness on the world stage as Carter...and Iran, China, and Russia will exploit this.
Thanks, do you think it is worse now because there are less patriots today than there was back in the 70s, it just seems like everyone is on board.
It's the same. Everyone jumped on the commie bandwagon in the 20's and 30's, and again in the 60's and 70's.
