My dad said all hell was breaking loose in the early 70s and lots of people getting killed and inflation and he said there are a lot of similarities. Wondering if this period is comparable to what is taking place now in America? Is Jimmy Carter like Joe Biden?

NYC was a crime-ridden shithole in the 70's (even more so than now).

They built a police force for the city that was larger than the armies of certain nations. (There are over 35,000 officers in the nypd).

Leftist areas take massive armed forces to maintain peace in, because Leftism and Leftists are chaotic agents who abhor order.

Rural and Right Wing areas are peaceful and stable because people who are conservative and right oriented are aligned with order and stability.

Lefties will try to argue that it is a matter of population density, but it is not, it is about the differences in personal sociopolitical philosophy of those who occupy the right and the left.

There are times when chaos is needed for growth, but unchecked it destroys everything that was built up by our ancestors. Order is needed for stability, but it can suffocate a society that needs to adapt to change rapidly. We live in a time where we would be wise to focus on the right, on order. Our society is globally too chaotic as a result of decades of Left Wing infiltration and propagation within all social institutions.

What is happening now is far worse than the 1970's, because it is global and instant due to our global instant communication networks. I do not see any path forward that does not lead to war of some form. I think that we are doomed to see the horrors and tragedies of the previous century replayed in the current one.

We suffered through Hell, and we learned nothing, and so we will be sent back to relearn the price of freedom and prosperity.
