Its not even hard to raise a pitbull to be a cuddle bug. They have the potential to be the sweetest dogs. But they also have one of the greatest protective instincts, and so they can also very easily be raised into guard dogs. They're smart and want nothing more than to please the person they pair bonded with.

Take a shitty owner who doesn't train the dog at all, and you get a dog that feeds off their energy and just turns in to a jogger dog.

Shame really.

Yep, and oddly enough, just like how most violent criminals come from the ghetto, most violent dogs do too.

If only we could find a common denominator?

They weren’t bred to be “protective” they were bred to be aggressive. A fighting breed. Like a Pointer points, a pit Bull attacks. Cant escape centuries of careful intentional breeding.

Of intentionally breeding them to attack animals, not humans. Human aggression is bred out of fighting dogs. You don’t keep a fighting dog around that bites it’s owner, you remove it from the blood line. You think dogs are stupid enough to not notice the difference between a Bull, a boar, and a human?

It’s the exact reasons joggers and bleeps get them. I knew a guy in Queens who raised a pit. Wouldn’t socialize it on purpose with other animals and people. It’s basically turned into Cujo because of this idiot. I hated that guy I hope he’s dead.

Me too. My pit is 9, loves people and dogs (not cats). Never had close to a problem with him. Full bread red nose. There will always be bad eggs. Pit attacks get reported on like white shooters by the media, and people here can’t seem to notice that no one cares when a poodle bites someone’s fingers off. Guess we deserve the freedom to have ARs but not dogs.

They used to be referred to as nanny dogs because faithful, loving, and loyal, especially when it came to children.

Great Danes were originally bred to be boar-hunting dogs. They are the gentlest of breeds.

Pits were used for Bull fighting snd boar hunting too. They are the sweetest dogs.

Careful there are some neckbeards here that think they should all be killed, and we shouldn’t be able to responsibly own an animal but can responsibly own a semi auto rifle with a 60 round drum (I happen to own both).

There are a lot of pit haters in here surprisingly. I didn’t know we had so many retarded fsggots on this sub but I guess that’s what happens when you’re more underground. The virgin neckbeards who get scared of puppies start ruining shit.

There are basically 2 kinds of people. Those that love dogs, and those that fear dogs. It looks like the fearful are out in force today.

Dogs are special. We've had a bond and partnership with them that goes back tens of thousands of years, maybe longer. They embody all the best things in us: loyalty, devotion, courage, and joy. It is absolutely shameful the way we treat them now.

One way to compare and judge cultures is by how they treat their dogs.
