What happened to Republican Motherhood? Originally, it was the family’s job to teach their children the virtues of their nation. Women were responsible for teaching their children where they came from so they could learn from the past’s mistakes.
If anything, we need to bring back the concept of Republican Motherhood to American society writ large. We can’t rely on the state to teach children these ideals
