There's only so many weeks in a month, so yeah, if you put a bunch of women in a room together, some of them will "magically" have their periods overlap and occur around the same time. Same if you put 75 people in a room there's a 99.9% chance of two of them having the same birthday. Did their birthdays sync up? Or are there only so many days in the year to have birthdays? Birth control was pushed on us female recruits for that exact purpose- a room with 50-ish women was to be shared for 6 weeks and a lot of us had cycle issues that were normally not present. It's not a total farce and the birthday tidbit is irrelevant.
