Well if we look at how incredibly inaccurate the news/polling is in western developed countries then just think of how fake the news/polling is in a ultra corrupt former soviet state. Its true that many people in the east have a favorable view of Russia, however its hard to say to what extent and how much of it has been fueled by fake news.
