I bet if you did the exact same thing but did it by mean household income, or development index, national investment in education, or any number of other things instead of race you'd get a similar breakdown.
I remember a global study that concluded that TV made people smarter. Turns out people that own TVs are more likely to come from wealthy or developed countries with more jobs for educated people, better school with access to education, and less economic hardship. Just because people who did watch TV were smarter doesn't mean the TVs made them smart.

I have a better question. If you applied those same sampling criteria to only white candidates and filtered by the categories that I mentioned, would you see a similar breakdown in the results?
