I told them both the same thing, try to avoid filling out a 4473.

Edit: Almost forgot, my yard guy was asking about 9mm availability on Tuesday.

I'm sad to say, in many ways I'm that guy you referenced. I have 14k of primers, but that is divided between the four major types so really isn't that much. Just because I have components doesn't mean I'm loading and shooting anything. It seems more valuable than gold to me right now.

In a shtf scenario, it is at first. Food, arms, toiletries. Precious metals are important too, but regain value and market purchasing power when the dust settles.

Money is only useful for civilized people. I’ve seen some mock Bitcoin by talking about what happens when the internet goes down, but gold is just as useless when things get real. Guns, ammo, food, water, etc., is what holds value during those times.

You leave the gold buried until things calm down.
