Trump is proud of his achievement, realistically, if you were to believe that the vaccine is effective at stopping the spread of Covid and is saving lives, then you could make the argument that stopping the vaccines because a tiny percentage of people are having bad reactions is wrong.

Maybe he sees it as a net good for society, and even if he doesn't - his public statements can always be used to admit that "he was always supportive of the shot" when nobody else wants to take it. My MIL died 24 hours after getting her first Moderna shot. She was 84. It is risky for the elderly. It is just as risky as the coof.
I share that opinion. I was trying to play devil's advocate and make my best argument for pro-vaccine.
If it was a functional vaccine, then I would understand why the elderly would benefit from it.
