I attended a funeral last Saturday or a man in our church.
Turns out he had just finished a series of covid shots...his family knew. Just Awful! Criminal. Crimes against humanity.
He was supposed to stay wednesday for dieuretics and stuff his heart failure got fluid buildup out of control but he berated and cursed everyone on sight cuz he got the dementia moodswings partly due to flyid buildup denying nutrients to the brain. They gonna put him on a iv dieuretic and oxygen cuz the stubborn old man. Bless his soul. Finally said okay call medics i cant breath. Just hoping its soon enough he got treatment.
Very sorry to hear. Though this advice will not help you now, everyone might think of signing medical power of attorney docs. My special needs brother was rushed to hospital (last spring) and we were able to dig up an old MPOA from the 1980's. They had to let my other brother into ER.
After he was better (not covid related) he went back to nursing home. We did an updated MPOA with more brothers and sisters on it; hired a mobile notary to meet me outside his window to witness him signing the paperwork.
Took my adult autistic sons through the bank drive-through with a window (only a couple branches have the window and a notary). MPOA's for both of them! I already had one done with my will.
The thought of a loved one alone in a hospital, especially last year when people were being put on ventilators was terrifying. We all need family support and advocacy. In Texas right now, visitors are allowed into hospitals. But last year it was like your situation; not even family allowed in.
I have a brother sittin in room with him. They got him on oxygen nose tubes and are gonna drain flyid with catheter and severe dieuretic i just talked to him he was in a good mood lol
It’s awesome to have siblings and family help with situations like these. The virus crap and its restrictions are beyond retarded. I hope everything goes well for you and your dad.
You can call the hospital and talk to the nurse. Night nurse and day nurse. You can also tell them to leave a message that you want to talk to the dr, too.
I went thru this 3x with hubby last yr. They dont want your germs in the hospital. The nurses are wearing hazmet-type gear most likely. Hubby never saw the nurses faces.
My mom and Dad have both come down with severe effects after the vaccine... Don't know what the future holds for our family
My dad never had covid or vaccine. Hea in stage 3 heart failure. Tonight they are trying to prevent stage 4
Sorry bout yer mom and dad thats sad
Wish u well
