I'm so confused.

If there is evidence that carbon monoxide killed the guy, does it help the defense or the prosecution?

The left does such mental gymnastics that it's hard for me to figure out what they are arguing anymore.

I think the point (at least as per this post, I haven't been watching the trial itself) is that the defense managed to get the prosecution to admit that Floyd had 98% blood oxygen levels, which is not what you would expect of someone who was asphyxiated by say, a knee to the neck. The exhaust itself is irrelevant.
