I don't wear a mask ever. On Saturday I tried to buy ice cream with my daughter without a mask. They wouldn't let us pay even after eating the ice cream! I guess it is free ice cream at that store.
It's a win-win!
Seriously, not wearing a mask is important to show others they can stand up for themselves as well. Sometimes other people just need to see at least one other person doing it.

In my box, I’m maskless. Never wear one otherwise. I stopped going to businesses that required them.
Recently the mandate in my state was lifted, and I still see tons of people with masks... I see more people without them, and that makes me happy. Since I now have a good idea on who I should avoid. It’s a shit test for dates too. If they want to wear a mask, even though they don’t have to, can tell it’s not going to work out.
So, silver linings, I guess. That works for any new people I have met, or will in the future. I wouldn’t be surprised if that becomes the next step in self-segregation. Frankly, I’m alright with it.
I brought my son to a local trampoline park and the little millennial shit behind the counter told me I must wear a mask at all times. I told her when everyone in the office behind her puts one on and socially distances then I will.... crickets and me and my son jumped unimpeded by the mask nazis
What is the actual law with regard to masks. I live in NY. If I want in without a mask, and the store tells me to leave, do I have to leave? Looking for a real answer
If the store tells you to leave, you have to leave otherwise it is trespassing and they can call the cops for that.
It changes from state to state, but to my knowledge no state actually has any laws regarding masks, only emergency executive actions. In Ohio, businesses can have the police trespass you for violating the mask mandates, and you can be fined for violating the mask mandates, but most police departments in Ohio have refused to enforce the fines, so it is the Ohio Department of Health which enforces and issues the fines.
However, there's a nice loophole that works most of the time, "I'm exempt." Most states have exemptions for those with medical or psychological reasons not to wear a mask, and the Americans with Disabilities Act forbids businesses from requiring you to provide proof (or even what condition) for exemptions.
My city still has a mask mandate but I've noticed it gradually becoming easier to go into places without a mask. Certain places will always stop you like Costco but most other grocery stores and restaurants I haven't had a problem with.

It's funny all the people in states where they can get away with going in maskless can do so telling us to "just do it". Here front doors to shops are plastered with signs about masks and social distancing and I guarantee you if spotted inside maskless either someone running the store will kick you out or Karen will ensure it happens. If you put up a fight it wouldn't surprise me in the least if the cops are called. Business owners, even if they don't personally like the masks will never admit it and will enforce it because they fear local authorities and fear losing business from Karens that want them to enforce it. They're misguided about who their customer base is, AND they fear the covid lawsuits which are coming from ambulance chasers just waiting to nail a place that doesn't enforce mask wearing and "CDC guidelines" when someone comes to them alleging they got covid from the store they went to where someone was inside maskless. They'll try to hold the store responsible and lawyers are just too eager to make money off it and get their 30%. They have yacht payments and the wife wants a new mansion, the old one is so last year

My elderly mom is more American than all of you and she's raised hell in every single inner city LA grocery store within a mile radius of her and even she's been beaten into submission about covering her nose and mouth. As soon as she walks in without a mask, they swarm her like vultures and don't let her proceed any further. She's screamed at them and threatened to call the police on them and nothing works. Old lady's still gotta eat. And this old lady is the same one who's single handedly chased BLM thugs out of her neighborhood while literally telling them "this isn't Africa, go back over there."

My state has a mask mandate and the stores here have all the same signs too. Just gotta do it anyway and if they make a big deal of it and make you leave, then fuck 'em, go somewhere else.

My state, Texas, doesn't have a mask mandate and most of the stores still have a "masks mandatory" sign up. I just go in maskless anyway and most don't say anything. The ones that still say anything are Whole Foods, Total Wine, and Costco. Fuck them all, I shop elsewhere when I can.
40,000 restaurants in Italy "just opened up" last year and poof! restrictions were over. Front doors here have mask warning signs too. People ignore them.
