The few stable black voices I hear, are few, and hardly constant, and what's worse is that the average black doesn't pay attention, or care what they say. One of first black man to come to America (The Colonies) as a slave came with dozens of white men that were also indentured slaves like him. Those slaves both black, and white were given their freedom after a seven year contract expired. Anthony Johnson was freed on his "contract", and become a tobacco farmer in Virginia. He owned a couple hundred acres. and had several indentured slaves. One of them was a black man named John Casor. Casor repeatedly was a problem, and failed repeatedly in his contract to the point where Johnson took him to court for fraud. The courts ruled that he be a slave for life. So there you have it, the first full time black slave was created by another black man around 1650. I am a history buff, and get into all kinds of world history. It's interesting. I likely know more black history (including African history) then 98% of blacks. The word "slave" comes from the word Slav (for Slavic), and the first mention of the taking of slaves in written text is about a Roman legion exploring the upper Nile who where taken by tribesmen, and sold into Africa (Ethiopia I believe). At one time almost everyone was a slave of sorts indentured to learn a trade (sold by their fathers), or peasants on the land to rich estate owners. It's not something that other races dwell on or use as an excuse. Everybody needs to move on, and use the opportunities of today.
