In other words, the judge just wants to hurry up and get that one particular verdict from the jury and make this all someone else's problem on appeal.

He should be declaring a mistrial. The jury is not impartial.

I don’t understand what her appeal is other than having a D next to her name and being a huge pain in everyones ass. And you know what? Why is it always these loudmouth idiot politicians who always represent the poorest most crime ridden districts?

because they use the crime ridden districts to stay in power & the reason why the districts are filled with crime are because of terrible policies

Judge said "on appeal," so he signaled he wouldn't consider it at trial but on appeal, a court may hear it.

Is that to say, if Chauvin is deemed Guilty. His lawyer could just appeal and blame Maxine?

Would that mean he could get overturned or that it would go to a retrial (assuming the judge accepts the appeal)

Move for mistrial with the current judge, if denied, preserve the issue for appeal.
