I'd rather it be parts so we can pick and choose to make our own. Most firearms can have variety of configurations so being able to pick what you want from the start instead of having to modify it later, spending extra to do so, would be a plus from me.

To be fair, the right should have been campaigning for decades at this point that election day should be a national holiday and that we should quadruple the number of voting stations so that people don't have to stand in the rain for 3 hours just to vote. And expand voting hours until late into the evening. And make first issuance of a state ID from the DMV free for anyone who can show low income. And set up community ride/escort programs for free to take anyone low-income or disabled who qualifies to get a ride/escort to the DMV - or the Social Security office for that free card/ID if necessary.
All that would cost a little money, but a drop in the bucket in the grand scheme of things, then the left would have jack shit to call them out on as vote-suppressors.
The shit-heads who vote badly won't go through all of that in #'s to make a difference, yet the offer will be on offer so there's no ammunition to claim suppression.

I partly disagree. Electoral integrity requires proof of identity, for the sake of the democratic process itself functioning reliably. There's no way around that.
Whereas a militia of the people doesn't require that anyone identify themselves for it to function for the security of a free state.
