This is one thing I can't get over, the vaccine is an experiment at best, for a common cold variant grossly misrepresented by the media. I don't understand why Trump is so eager to talk about it

He's not perfect, and this is one of my biggest criticisms of him. Well that and abandoning the people he called to protest on 1/6.
Still better than any republican option in 2016/20 combined.
A couple of my criticisms as well.
But on 1/6- I really think he just wanted a huge show of support. I think many didn't come because they thought what was gonna happen, happened. I wish he would be more vocal and show his support, but who knows.. Maybe behind the scenes he is? 1/6 was pretty fucked, entrapped Americans and really put Trump between a rock and a hard place. I'm not happy about it, but really, what can he do about it after the event?
I didn't expect the capitol building security/police to let in a bunch of Antifa in disguise so the media can portray it as more destructive than when the capitol building was actually bombed either.
Pence betraying him didn't help either. He trusted the swamp rats around him too much and was mostly working from within the system. We all knew that was no longer and option anymore and were disappointed to find out there was no plan post Pence betrayal except hoping our broken institutions still functioned. Spoiler: they haven't for a long time, justice and the rule of law are officially dead.
Getting that to the public in under a year is an achievement. That his administration is partly responsible for. If I had done that and thought it was safe I would promote it too.
Good point
You can tell he feels the vaccine was a significant achievement, one of the most important of his presidency. He calls it “a miracle” and is obviously proud of his part in it. I’m sure he must feel a little frustrated that he worked so hard to make sure the vaccine was available and there are people saying, “Eh, no thanks.” I don’t think he expected that.
How many people who aren't taking it, would take it, if Trump was still in office? I will not be taking it, but if Trump were still in office I would consider it.
Wouldn’t even consider it if he were still in office... I know enough about healthcare, science, research, and medicine in general to know not to be the first group to receive any drug... especially for a disease with a 99.9 percent survival rate. Many others in the healthcare field feel the same, Trump supporters or not. They unleashed a lab made virus to fuck Trump over, wouldn’t put it past them to release a deadly vaccine and throw the blame on him too. A high percentage of healthcare workers in every state are refusing it, and many I’ve heard of who got the passport also “got” the jab to avoid repercussions from their employer (eg: different mask requirements, different treatment, overall bullying/ pressure from superiors).
wholly responsible for.
Most patriots I know, won't take it no matter who says. I think most by now have seen enough articles about the possible long term effects on ones immune system. Most have seen that it's more political then anything. He plays 4D chess so it could be he's just fucking with the left. "It's Trump's Vaccine, I can't take that. But then I won't get their vaccine selfie to share with all their friends."
The study that shows 70% of Dems think Covid has a 50% hospitalization rate?
Yeah, well, that same study shows like 50% of Republicans feel the same
Fear is incredibly powerful, alleviating fear is good. If people need a “right to try” I’m ok with that
It’s just the forced shit we need to fight tooth and nail
Ego..
Some people get over it, some don't. Do what you want.
Took the vaccine 2x.
He's either been, a) deceived, b) bought off, or c) threatened into supporting it. Take your pick.
"Six ways to Sunday to get at you.."
He is only one man, the MAGA movement is his gift to us, we need to respect what he accomplished and hold to his original message and plan.
Amen
We have no idea what they may be threatening him with for these people are sociopaths.
They just stole an election, the world knows it and is vocal in saying so; they are extremely violent and very, very dangerous.
cuz the vaccines are overwhelmingly succesful and poeple over 60 should take them ..
So far...
What part of experiment don't you understand? They cannot be deemed "overwhelmingly successful" with such paltry data. Critical thinking, try it.
In the end he is closer to the globalists than any of us. If there is an agenda. I’m sure he knows or heard of it.
He's right. People should pay attention to him, and stop falling for all the crazy anti-vaccine conspiracy theories. No vaccine is 100% effective. No vaccine is 100% free of side effects when hundreds of millions of people receive it. These vaccines were rushed through development and approval because they needed to be, and while I'm sure they can be improved, they're doing a lot more good than harm. We should be thankful we have access to them. All the ordinary Chinese citizens who are stuck with only the CCP-developed vaccine, which even CCP sources are beginning to admit is not effective, would love to have access to our vaccines. The anti-vaccine stuff is being promoted by activists who want to undermine Trump's powerful base of political support.
What good is the vax doing that's more good than harm?
Reducing the number of people who come down with symptomatic COVID-19, and reducing the number of severe cases leading to hospitalization and/or death to near zero among people who have been vaccinated. Both of these categories translate into huge amounts of money saved, that would otherwise have been spent on medical care and lost wages/productivity. I get tired of reading the silly claims that it doesn't make sense to get vaccinated because your risk of dying from COVID-19 is extremely small. Dying is hardly the only relevant measure. Losing weeks of work and/or time with family, and ending up with lasting after-effects, and imposing heavy costs on the healthcare system (either the government or private insurers) are things well worth avoiding by getting a couple of quick jabs in the arm, and maybe having a sore arm or feeling a bit under the weather for a couple of days.
> Losing weeks worth of work
The same assholes that make you take off weeks at a time are the ones profiting off the vaccine. Did you ever have covid? Only lasts a couple days.
> huge burden on the health system
Assuming their numbers are anywhere near accurate... Oh gee whiz, where did the flu go
For some people it lasts only a couple of days and leaves no lasting after-effects. Some people have no symptoms at all despite testing positive for an active infection. But the large number of people who experience a more severe course of the disease represent a significant economic cost to the country.
The flu nearly disappeared because of two factors: Having most of the country practicing masking, social distancing, and social isolation removed most of the usual sources of flu transmission. Among the very elderly, especially early in the pandemic, COVID killed many people who otherwise would have died of flu. And of course, some of the deaths and long-term ICU hospitalizations recorded as COVID-related included people who also had an ordinary flu (just as it included people who also had kidney failure, heart failure, asthma, cancer, etc).
I don't doubt that there has been a lot of over-recording of illnesses and deaths attributed COVID, both due to financial incentives and due to a desire to be as thorough as possible in reporting COVID cases. But that doesn't mean that the actual scope of the problem isn't serious.
Those masks you wear? Guess what- even drywall dust can get through them. A cigarette filter that's a minimum of ten times as thick as a face mask allows particles larger than a virus to get through.
The masks literally do nothing.
Is your concern legitimately an economic one? If so, you wouldn't be talking about isolation/lockdowns as if it were a good thing
The issue isn't whether the virus particles can get past the mask, in either direction -- of course they can. It's that the mask slows down the particles' travel through the air, and redirects them in directions that tend to be away from the shortest route from person to person. A virus particle that is no longer active (the equivalent of "dead" for bacteria) can't replicate or cause disease. All that's needed to reduce the incidence of transmission of active virus particles is to slow them down, because they can't remain active for very long outside a host organism.
I think the isolation/lockdown and mask mandates went way too far, went on for too long, and were applied to many settings where they were unwarranted and unlikely to have a net positive effect (e.g. the sight of elementary school kids wearing masks outside on playgrounds was disturbing and obviously doing the children more harm -- mainly in terms of psychosocial development -- than good). But that doesn't mean that all isolation/lockdown and mask mandate provisions were completely useless or caused net harm.
Okay, Anthony. Nice try.
