Every one tried handing me that mask like it was a courtesy. Told them they are discriminating against me because I refuse to be muzzled..literally said “fuck your policies, fuck your management, and fuck you.” I honestly did my best to make everyone of them understand they aren’t doing me a favor and are piece of shits. It's stupid, because why go somewhere and piss people off that handle and touch your food and drinks. I understand the sentiment, but the restaurant is the last place you want to pull any bullshit where some idiot who thinks you're trying to kill him/her feels justified to put shit in your food. That said there are plenty of restaurants, especially mom and pop type places in Texas, even in and around cities, that don't give two fucks about masks and didn't during the mandate.

I had virtually the same experience at a title company trying to close on a home. They had a major clown show at the entrance. They wanted to take my temperature, offered me a mask, asked me if I was vaccinated. No thank you to all of it. Made me feel like I was checking into a doctor's office.
They took me to a conference room. Where I and a notary could have easily signed 10 mins worth of documents. No, that wouldn't do. They came back in and escorted me out to the public lobby of the office building. I had been polite up to that point. Then I read them the riot act. They were discriminating against me in a scene very reminiscent to the 60s segregation rules. That irony went right over the heads of the two black women that escorted me out. I got that BS nonsense that they were just trying to do me a favor!
Lesson learned? I closed on the house, but never again. As a real estate investor, I'll be writing my future contracts to insist the seller exclude any title company that mandates masks! I have a list of company's that don't require the mask. It's an extreme seller's market for real estate, but that's one small concession I can likely win on.
