If only sports were real and not at all like professional wrestling. 🤔

I don’t believe any sport is on the level. All of the leagues are predetermined and the refs and field officials are the ones that ensure certain outcomes.

If just one game is influenced by criminal behavior they all can be.

I so miss sports. But I refuse to support them until they become American again. Probably not in my lifetime. A great love of mine at one time. Another thing the commiecrats took from me.

Yes, the players have their 1st A rights like anyone else but, their platform can make a political difference and that can hurt the country. MLB was probably the biggest deflection for America during the times we most needed it. Now, we need it to back America first and not the socialism-angle they're leaning towards. For millions of dollars a year, staying away from dividing a country seems to be a fair trade. Again, a personal opinion. Leaving GA for voting rights that they obviously didn't understand, was a smack in the face to me.

because the voting was expanded tho biden and abrams played the media to the bs that it was more "restrictive" it wasn't. black ppl can't get an ID is major propaganda and insulting. MLB backing that stance was virtue signaling over understanding or fact.

I think MLB took the propaganda of "racism" for the vote. That law actually expands hours of voting but requires more authentification.

I'm a Yankees fan (from Brooklyn - Giants/Rangers/Knicks too) but I pull for the Mets to win the NL every year, lol. I'm a NYer and love (loved) the city. Now, the city embarrasses me. Loved the Miracle Mets of 1969. The Yankees always sucked when I was a kid in the 60's-70's.

My wife and I can give up any woke sport, corporation, etc. With one exception. Baseball. We love the game with a burning passion, despite being hardcore Pittsburgh Pirates fans.

We also love the view from the 300 section, especially along the third base line. My earliest Pirates memory is seeing Orlando Cepeda hit a colossal home run over the trees beyond the left-center wall at Forbes Field, against the Bucs.

to me, those were the greatest times in baseball. the players, the rules, the non political bs. So many wonderful players from that time.

you do realize the Yankees kicked Pit butt bigly winning the 3 that they won...and Pit squeaked out every win in theirs ...sorry, sore loser, lol. That one hurt. Was the year I was born.

I trust your view of this. I was a fan starting in like 1966 but, a historian before there was an internet and easy access. Me and hours with my baseball encyclopedia...cohen/neft. All the studying and hours of fun wasted now because of the internet, lol.

to me, the way the commercials (if you watch on tv) are too woke. the players stances on politics mixing with the sport are not why I want to watch sports. I watch sports to hide from real life. I don't like politics being a part of that. Personal opinion. 13 % of our population have to be in 50% of the commercials. I don't like the over representation because of "wokeness". To me, it's pushing support for a marxist ideology that I can't see past.Too many liberal views in a game that should not advance either political side and just take your mind off life for a while. I love the game(MLB) but would rather watch some highlights and a boxscore and bypass the politics.
