A Jury is bias by selection process. Sure, everyone is required to serve, but responsible people with jobs and other obligations can get out of it (for good and bad reasons). This leave people who have to go. Then you have a large portion of people who prefer jury duty to their actual job (Yes, I’ve been to jury duty and met people who want to do it because they hate their job). A jury is not a respenstatiog of peers - it’s a watered down subsection. Not to say everyone is poor or dumb on a jury at all, but it’s a bias selection criteria and it leans liberal...everyone should serve unless they have a very good reason not to.
