Get ready folks. Anything more than 4 hours is a bad sign for prosecution. We are way past that now.

If there is nothing by the end of today, I think it's safe to say the jury will be hung (possibly in more ways than one).

I'm retarded in legal jargon, what does Hung jury mean

12
Grunt422 12 points ago +12 / -0

You'll have to ask a Penisologist about that one.

Anon331717 11 points ago +11 / -0

Jury that cannot agree upon a verdict after extended deliberation and is unable to reach the required unanimity or supermajority. Hung jury usually results in the case being tried again.

4
TrumpVoter1 4 points ago +4 / -0

has to be unanimous for conviction or not in a criminal trial. anything less is a hung jury

8
PeteJeffrey 8 points ago +8 / -0

In order to get a conviction or acquittal all 12 jurors must agree. 100%. If anyone holds out it is a "hung jury" that could not come to a consensus and it can be retried.

YaBoiJacob 2 points ago +2 / -0

Ah ok

1
Sumarongi 1 point ago +1 / -0

What happens if the the next trial is ‘hung’ and the next one after that ad infinitum? I don’t see any trial of this that does not result in a hung jury. How does that get resolved?

thepalagoon 4 points ago +4 / -0

It's very rare to have more than one, but there is no legal limit.

Essentially it is a defeat for the prosecution as the entire trial gets wiped out and they have to do it again, from the absolute beginning.

There's a lot of idiots working pro-bono for the bloated prosecution, but even still that's a lot of taxpayer money wasted. They might go again, but it seems the dominoes are all lining up for this verdict. Whatever it is.

Shit is gonna burn, people are going to die, innocent people will lose their lives and their livelihoods. There will be more David Dorns.

All so the left can solidify their reign of terror... or whatever their ultimate endgame is.

Jurors probably trying to give their families time to pack up and GTFO.

Lolol

GBA4ever 6 points ago +6 / -0

I agree. Minneapolis schools not going to remote learning until tomorrow. They may have already reached a verdict. Need time for prep, protection for jurors and families regardless of verdict, etc

lestork 8 points ago +8 / -0

cities gonna burn in ..4...3...2...1..

1
TrumpVoter1 1 point ago +1 / -0

too late. already is

8
Cyberpunkd 8 points ago +8 / -0

Yeah, seems like if they were going to find guilty, it'd be over quick. I actually had a dream last night that it'd be a hung jury, not that it means anything, but we'll see.

TheGhostHost 5 points ago +5 / -0

I wouldn't announce it till 2 am and I would have taken the jury out before the verdi t is trad

5
Danmax67 5 points ago +5 / -0

I just hope they don't announce it until I get home. I want a chance to stop and pick up some extra ammo on the way home from work. Once the verdict comes out, shelves will empty again.

3
Gabbs1212 3 points ago +3 / -0

where are you finding ammo after work?! I have to send the wife out to multiple places during the work day.

Two towns over gun shops 9a & 11a mondays Next town north gun shop 10a tuesdays Local gun shop noon thursdays Walmart 11a fridays

And even then, it can be pretty limited in what we can get.

1
Danmax67 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's pretty limited, but I notice it's opening up quit a bit. My local gunshops have what I'm looking for about 75% of the time. Often only one or 2 boxes though.

2
Gabbs1212 2 points ago +2 / -0

Since a verdict has been reached now, dip out of work early to load up, and get home! Go pede, go!!

1
Danmax67 1 point ago +1 / -0

I really want to, but I have clients coming in at 4:30! Fortunately I'm not in a city.

2
Gabbs1212 2 points ago +2 / -0

Me either! And, wife got shot and turkey loads in her running today. Good to go!

4
iIndianaJones 4 points ago +4 / -0

First of all, I disagree with this theory entirely. The longer it goes, the more you can sway the minds of others.

10
FactsOverFeelings 10 points ago +10 / -0

Like convince them their houses won’t burn if they make a proper verdict?

6
iIndianaJones 6 points ago +6 / -0

Has anyone here been on jury duty? I have. You can talk someone out of their convictions very easily.

6
Sumarongi 6 points ago +6 / -0

Watch ‘12 Angry Men’

Great movie

2
iIndianaJones 2 points ago +2 / -0

It is a great movie.

4
JimmyJam 4 points ago +4 / -0

depends on the person - unless you are providing me with new information it would be extremely hard to sway me.

4
iIndianaJones 4 points ago +4 / -0

What I'm trying to say is, because the jury was not sequestered, it would be very easy for me to say to someone on the fence, hey, listen, if you don't join us, you, YOU, could be responsible for the cities across America burning, more death and violence. And you will be blamed for it.

3
JimmyJam 3 points ago +3 / -0

if that were the case and I was concerned, I would take option B and relay that info to the judge for a mistrial.

1
TrumpVoter1 1 point ago +1 / -0

agreed. i am not going to be bullied into doing something i don't believe to be true

2
BasedMedicalDoctor [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Statistically it’s a fact

4
DairyBoy 4 points ago +4 / -0

Sweeeeeet. Can you tell me what time they started?

8
BasedMedicalDoctor [S] 8 points ago +8 / -0

Yesterday evening for 4 hours and then continued this morning

3
DairyBoy 3 points ago +3 / -0

Awesome, thanks

8
freedomcries 8 points ago +8 / -0

As tonight approaches though, the judge may be reluctant to state the verdict. He did this last night. It seems that he is not to keen on announcing a verdict just before nightfall. I wonder why lol

4
Arden 4 points ago +4 / -0

It's odd because we know terrorists only exist in the daylight.

2
TrumpVoter1 2 points ago +2 / -0

the fact that its taking this long seems to indicate not all the jury agrees. either way its good for Chauvin

2
Cyberpunkd 2 points ago +2 / -0

Interesting, I didn't know they spent that much time on it already yesterday. So already 8+ hours deliberating and no verdict...

Lol you do realize I don’t care one way or the other right? The only reason I would prefer not guilty charges is so that the riots are bigger and more violent, hopefully resulting in many, many dead BLM/Antifa members.

DairyBoy 1 point ago +1 / -0

Point being, not gonna be disappointed in either outcome because either outcome will produce riots. I just want them extra big and extra violent

actually longer deliberations tend to favor the state as the jury has too look at the law and find which counts they are applying. But really who knows there still being threatened while there in deliberations.

3
AnIdahoan 3 points ago +3 / -0

Wouldn't be surprised if it's a hung jury.

2
JimmyJam 2 points ago +2 / -0

this all depends on the facts of the case - also with so many overlapping charges the longer it goes the more likely they might start bargaining for the lesser charge as a compromise and still end up with a conviction. There is really no way of knowing what timeframe is beneficial to whom. In this case I would have said a near instant verdict would have been better for the defense, i think we are in the sweet spot for what is better for the prosecution, but if it goes past 3 days then it swings back to the defense. But is all just kinda silly conjecture.

1
thecave888 1 point ago +1 / -0

The powers that are truly behind this "trial" don't care if the verdict is guilty or innocent. They have it won either way.

Everything beyond that confirmation is sideshow distraction of which Americans are gluttons for.

1
Lurker404 1 point ago +1 / -0

Isn't it usually a bad sign for the defense if it takes longer?

3
BasedMedicalDoctor [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

No. Points to jury not agreeing

1
PermaHandshake 1 point ago +2 / -1

Traditionally, yes you are right.

The reality is this. The only reason Chauvin hasn't be cleared of all charged is the 4 black jurors. The black jurors are tribal and wholly supportive of black people. The black jurors would support a cold blooded serial killer who raped babies and ate their mothers hearts then fucked their mom and ate the babies IF the killer was black.

Right now what has happened is the whites and mixed races don't want to convict an innocent man so they said no. The blacks want Chauvin convicted on all charges. As more time goes on the women in the group will try to compromise and "meet in the middle" because that is in their nature so to be agreeable to a group so they'll try to settle on the manslaughter charges.

It's going to come down to the white men against the black people. I believe the black people are far more loyal to their race than the white men are to the law and justice. A hung jury is possible but we're also in the realm of possibility of manslaughter now and the entire argument could be about the white men trying to get the black people to budge on murder just so the white men can feel a little better about convicting an innocent man.

OJ Simpson jurors deliberated for 3 or 4 hours
