If I was out there looting I would take one of those rich youtubers 10K Mark 5 cameras with those white telephoto lenses. Those people with the press passes think they are some war journalists but they are just rich white kids posting stuff on social media. That is where the real money is.

"I went to the riots and all I got was this RED camera..."
all I got was this ARRI camera. poor me
still 100x better than whtevr iphone tht ubereats teen carjacker was screaming abt losing
I don't think you're going to reach many looters here. We're just russian spais.
and mincrafters
And domestic terrorists.
Have we already forget about ninjas?
Cyber criminals?
we are cyborg russian spy bots from minecraft?
I started playing fortnite instead
Apex legends, here
and misogynists and chauvinists and sexists
And CIA/FBI dickfucks. 👋
I'm an inbred redneck cybercriminal
I'm just liberating hardware from its oppressors
I'm a bot. Beep boop
This guy LOOTS
High IQ looter
Almost like we are legitimately better at everything than the Democrats, but because of a combination of weak leaders on our side and unabashed cheating on theirs, we manage to always lose
"Peaceful monsters."
Too bad none of us actually are willing to riot. What the radical left does make us look like Ghandi.
And you could sell it right back to CNN. They can't see it was stolen... that would be racist!
Grab it. Sell it. Purchase Tim Pool kit. I am the news now.
Beanie sold separately.
Fence and milk-toast sold separately.
There's probably another $10K of gear in their vans.
Hell, just take the whole van.
carjack them harder than those 2 teens killed tht ubereats
10k? Just one bin of random cables is likely worth 10k....
I approve of this tactic. GO RIOTERS!
The high-end lenses are often insured which plays right into felony justification.
You're walking off with a backpack containing approximately the value of a low-end Audi.
Think that's gonna be a felony even if nothing is insured.
Just make sure you do this in San Francisco and nothing will happen to you.
How do you know there isn't a can of beans in that lens?
And then sell it on Craigslist?
Don’t lowball me, I know what I’ve got
Is that how those negotiations go? I've bought maybe 2 things on Craigslist.
It’s really a last ditch resort for stuff for me now. List something and scammers are like jackals trying to rip you off. And people selling used items at retail or above.
That's the free market at work.
and there’s a sucker born every minute. Caveat emptor. We’re in agreement.
I'm way out of the loop but I still search and sell on ebay and craigslist. It's there somewhere else I should be going?
If you can sift through the headaches Craigslist is capable of giving you it’s still an option. There’s another market out there now called offer up and letgo. I think they merged into one now. It’s basically like Craigslist.
There have actually been a few of these types of robberies in San Francisco.
The thing is, people who steal things aren't the sharpest tools in the shed, most of us know how to do a cost benefit analysis for grabbing a few boxes of nikes vs just going to work and making 70k a year. God forbid a bunch of us decide to be bad guys one day, because we would be the most successful bad guys around.
It's only "stuff".
Based advice column
Bonus is when you get a laptop from a newsvan/Dem Campaign Office for Wikileaks
The lenses are an easy 30k, the body is anywhere from 16k up, the rest of the rig is probably 5k, if there's a tripod probably another 5k.
Make a trap for the press. “White man bearing up black man”. They’ll fall for it every time.
Anyone working for CNN or MSNBC deserves to be beaten to death.
Good point!
Uh that's a pro camera, not a prosumer.
And yes, the thought definitely crosses my mind every time i see a news van with a lone camera operator getting highway B-roll.
I’m sure they also have nice collection of condenser mics to get your flow on.
based.
The 20-30k plus cameras have no resale value.
I think you're missing the point here.
Big time!
I didn't miss the point.
Looters steal high end equipment, CNN files claim, looters cannot attempt to resell, they would be caught immediately. Zero sum game.
Yep. You 're definitely missing it. The point is to point the rioters at the media, and see if the media will still report them as peaceful as they are being attacked.
What do you suppose happens if this continues happening; what happens to CNNs insurance?
CNN whose parent company is AT&T? Absolutely nothing.
but they burn with a warm glow....
Wouldn't work out. You'll get caught quick as they're usually live with the station at all times
I'd rather break their cameras over and over again. Nothing in this world makes you poorer faster then high insurance premiums/replacing expensive ass shit.
Tuggy -- Pretty soon they are going to need protection because they are the root of the problem. Even the left is going to turn on them and they will be hiding their logos on vans and cameras because they will be attacked. It is going to turn soon on them and they are losing credibility. But until then, we are dealing with state controlled media.
The youtubers could be on our side. BLMANTIFA doesn't want their looting livestreamed.
Too good of an idea for litters and joggers to think up all on their own.
Thanks for the tip. If I'm ever a riot, I'll make it a point to steal or smash cameras.
If a looter murders one of those 'journalists', do you think they'll put "died in a mostly peaceful protest" on the headstone?
muh reparations
The Fuji lens is $15k I think.
Or they could steal lumber.
Epic
Do it for George Floyd!
I had to save up to buy a good camera and a few lenses. This way seems easier.
$8k for a tripod?! I know nothing about photography/videography, but struggling to wrap my mind around that one.
I might have been a little high on the tripod but they always use Sachtler Tripods that usually in the range of 3-5k, but the cameras can easily be in the 15-30k range depending on the lens.
Put a sticker of a Soros butthole on it so they can identify it.
Open season on the left
