History doesn't repeat, but it does rhyme. Most big events unfold in parallel fashion to previous events of the same ilk. These past few years have unfolded in striking parallel to the first American civil war, except the parties are reversed this time.

  • Republican/Democrat division mirrors Democrat/Whig division
  • The Democrat party is splitting just as the Whigs did

A new, more radical party is being born in the image of progressives.

  • The election of Lincoln convinced Democrats that all hope was lost for a political resolution. -The election of Biden will be that event for many Republicans.
  • A coalition of Democrat states formed to oppose Lincoln powers, and ultimately became the Confederacy.
  • A coalition of Republican states is already forming to oppose federal laws and powers.
  • The confederacy concluded that political opposition was pointless, and secession was the only way
  • Talks of secession or "peaceful divorce" have steadily been increasing amongst southern Republican states.
  • Lincoln set precedent that peaceful secession is illegal, and shall be treated as insurrection, and open rebellion.
  • Biden/Harris will label those states as insurrectionists.
  • Lincoln poked the Confederacy to force them to make the first move, providing optics of Confederate aggression.
  • Biden/Harris and the media will manipulate the news to provide optics of Republican aggression/white supremacy.
  • Confederates eventually decided it was time to fight (Fort Sumter), playing into Lincoln's plan, officially starting the hot civil war.
  • Republicans have largely been peaceful, when they do finally fight back, it will mark the beginning of the 2nd civil war.
