From what I know, it can be appealed to the 8th circuit court which is literally 17 Republicans (some are old with senior status so they are semi-retired) to 1 Obama appointed Democrat. There are 11 seats. The person assigned to Minnesota is David Stras, a Trump appointed judge that was on his SCOTUS list. He is highly respected in Minnesota. Non-RINO congressmen strongly supported his nomination. Taking out the politics of this case, appeals like this typically work with even a mildly objective judge considering the fact that there was literally a mob outside and Mad Max promised riots. The problem is the politics and people giving into the mob. He loses this appeal then its over. SCOTUS won't do shit in the 2nd appeal.

One of the jurors was exposed as anti-cop on 4chan and chanting "all cops are bastards" with a tik-toc video.

How did Chauvin's team not pick this up before trial?

This judge was a fucking joke. He knew this trial was a gold mine for a career move/ advancement. He wasn’t about to piss off his handlers. That jury should have been sequestered DAY ONE. Fuck him and his antics and his “abhorrent” comments regarding Maxine and her filthy ilk. The fucking President* made a goddamn statement. Derek was doomed.

I saw it posted here earlier with a screenshot.

That would be extremely significant, obviously.

I'll post a new topic to ask for it.

They will be able to present a massive case for appeal. However, they will more than likely also be denied by the heavily corrupted/blue system he chose to serve. Cops in blue areas need to move out & so do any other people who care about the country. The time for turning it around has long passed. I am telling you: In the event you are in a blue area & against the rioters, get the fuck out. 23 skidoo. Right away. This is serious business. Segregation to strengthen red areas with red blooded people is key now. Remaining in or serving Blue areas are a fully & completely lost cause.

The courts proved they cuck out in the election.

Technically the court didn't do anything. It was the juror's that cucked. Judge should have postponed the trial after the settlement and properly sequestered the jurors.

Trial also should've been moved. Since none of that happened, I'm wondering if this wasn't the defense's strategy all along. To build a strong case on appeal and now there is overwhelming evidence that the whole trial has been tainted. We'll see more about these jurors in the coming days I'm sure and you can bet they will give the defense even more ammunition.

If we're being technical, the Court was aware of Maxine's threat and failed to mistrial the case. The court may, on its own motion (sua sponte) move for a mistrial. It did not.

The court did. Having the trial in minneapolis, jury selection and no sequestration orders to name a few....

6
iouybiy 6 points ago +6 / -0

And granted motions for change of venue. The city where the trial was held was literally having press conferences on the millions they would pay the family during jury selection.

This isnt going to SCOTUS FFS. Why would it?

I dont see why it wouldnt it get reversed on appeals. He has a good case.

Dershowitz (don't really like him but regardless he knows his legal shit) was the one saying that Chauvin has a very, very strong case for appeal such as the settlement, Mad Max, failure to sequester the juror, mob outside courtroom, jury lived in the city, and etc. SCOTUS actually does have the power to hear an appeal to a criminal case if it goes that far but they rarely use it in most cases. On top of the fact that SCOTUS is cucked, I don't know why Alan brought it up. Chauvin might be fucked because it has to travel through the mostly blue appeals court to the mostly blue supreme court of Minnesota. It'll take him a long time and money.

This case is in state court and the appeal with also take place in state court. Chauvin could ask for federal relief if there is a constitutional violation. But that won't be happening until his state options are exhausted

they'll say he should've filed his appeal before the first trial

The overwhelming worldwide media coverage.
The multiple requests for change of venue..
The settlement of the city in the middle of jury selection.. The denied motions for mistrial and acquittal..
The prosecutorial misconduct.. The lack of disclosure of last minute evidence..
The comments from Rep Waters and even the president before any verdict.
Chauvin has solid grounds for appeal.

Maybe protesting would help him...oh wait

RedditIsCommunist 3 points ago +3 / -0

Nobody is going to protest for a democrat cop in a democrat hellhole.

Cops in democrat hellholes take note of how you’ll end up getting lynched by the democrat public.

GaryWA 3 points ago +3 / -0

Hope so..should. But then again, the Liberal Left is in full appeasement mode now.

3
Diotima 3 points ago +3 / -0

courts are rigged.. you're fucked if the case becomes politicized.

3
AbrahamLincoln 3 points ago +3 / -0

0% because he'll be murdered before the appeal happens.

2
spezisacuckold 2 points ago +2 / -0

Fairly reasonable take.

3
Crappydatum 3 points ago +3 / -0

Appeals in this country are BS. Nothing new gets into the record. They quite literally read the stupid transcript from the original trial out loud, no you can't read it for yourself, no you can't take notes. At the end, they wake you up and ask for your vote.

1
TurdFerguson 1 point ago +1 / -0

He can appeal and get a retrial, then run into scared jurors all over again.

1
RedditIsCommunist 1 point ago +1 / -0

I used to think courts could be halfway honest in serious criminal cases like this at least, even with political issues present, but no..... they’re fucked like witch trials now.

Appeal will be denied purely due to fear of riots with no regard for the law.
