Cop is fucked, Danville is a liberal city, gonna get denied justice and thrown in jail to be beat to death, cop should of knew better than to work in a liberal city
Oof. This isn't good. This is the one they've been looking for, yes the dude had a knife out but the cop should have tried to distance himself before firing. Not that he wasn't justified, but the optics are going to be really bad on this one. Far worse than george floyd, toledo or the girl from yesterday.
He did. He takes 4-5 steps back before he fired. He backed up and then the perp advanced towards him. If he hesitated, the perp could have lunged and stabbed him. He was far closer than the 23 ft. where a knife beats a drawn gun. Not to mention they were in the middle of an active intersection and the light was green in that turning lane they were in. I really wish more people (in general, not saying you) would watch police engagement training videos showing how difficult it is to use non-lethal force or to hesitate when there is an armed aggressor. It really changes perspective. Maybe police districts should release body cam footage of cops being killed or seriously injured in these situations after not taking the shot.
Right, he knew the cop was aimed, received clear instruction to stop advance and drop his weapon, yet refused to listen. He's apparently in the danger zone of proximity, so with all those factors, all bets ARE OFF.
Suicide by cop, whatever you want to call it, but the cop had the right to use deadly force to defend himself.
You're right, was hard to see on my phone screen. I guess what I'm getting at is that at first glance, mainly due to the knife wielding man's posture (i.e. not obviously lunging with the knife) will be easily mistaken for the cop not being in danger by normies who don't understand how deadly knives can be, training, what justifies use of leathal force, etc, and them screaming ridiculous shit like 'he should have tased him" or "why didn't he shoot the knife out of his hand".
Considering the level of shit we've seen with floyd, and while the optics were pretty bad due to selective editing, etc. If this is given the same treatment I think it'll be way easier for them to frame it as an execution of a black man or something.
Either way, shits gonna get bad. It sucks because many of the people who will be rioting are being grifted. Clown world sure is demoralizing sometimes.
Officer: "Drop the knife"
Perp: "No"
Officer: "Drop the knife"
Perp: "Kill me"
Officer: <obliges him>
The key here, and what makes it justified, is that the guy with the knife was walking towards the cop. Fucking brutal though
The body thud sounds like the looney toons sound effect. Excellent.

And this was basically suicide by cop, by the way.
Any cop with a brain at this point should just resign.
Pulls knife on cop.
Suicide by cop
That's literally just suicide by cop, he just threw rocks, enough to draw police attention without necessarily killing anyone.
(though he could have killed someone with that. Remember kids, fake gun)
That is what’s known as “dropped like a sack of shit”
STOP RESISTING
I kept getting distracted watching the cop directing traffic.
Kill me! OK! 👍🏻
Best channel.

Feel bad for the cop nothing good will come from this.
Did the guy survive, they said the suspect was still breathing?
