This will increase as blacks are completely off limits. They are running out of supporters, I am done with backing the blue.

Description sucks, why did they want his phone?

He had video taped them inside the hospital while they were trying to force him to leave is my understanding.

Ah.

So?

They (the police) can have him removed for trespassing, but they can't force him to hand over his phone without a warrant.

The article states:

...Teller County’s sheriff’s department entered her hospital room and demanded that both Anderson and Hiteshew hand over their phones without explaining why, Anderson said. When Andersen refused, the deputy came back with three officers from the Colorado Springs Police Department who were determined to get the phones through force, he said.

“When they walked into the room, it sort of felt like I was getting ready to go on patrol in Afghanistan,” Andersen told Task & Purpose. “I had just had this deep-seated feeling of: Well something is about to happen here and it’s not going to be good.”

That's literally no help, thanks bud.

Then read the shit for yourself.

He didn't know why they wanted the phone either.

From a different article:

The situation in his daughter’s hospital room began after Andersen told the detective to get a warrant before he or his fiancé would hand over their cell phones, Andersen recalled.

“If he had come in and introduced himself and said: ‘I’m a Teller County detective; I need to check your phones; we want to make sure there is no evidence of child abuse;’ that’s a whole different story when you treat someone with respect,” Andersen said. “And that man did not treat anybody, including my fiancé, with respect.”

Cops have chosen their side. It's time they start feeling repercussions from their communities when they behave like this.

Yet another reason I would never live in a blue state much less a blue city.

Typical BLM (Blue Lives Matter) response to tax payers.

If our communities continue to let members be treated like this then we deserve what's coming.

This is the kind of shit that would get me shot.

Former Marine myself and had a similar instance with hospital security when I was picking up my mother who'd been waiting in severe pain for 5 hours for a surgery follow up. I'm not a big guy, 5'8 220lbs, but 8 years in infantry teaches you a thing a two about harvesting reserves of strength and determination from raw desperation. I couldn't take them all on but I was sure that at least one of them would remember my name for the rest of their lives. Mom and I left without incident. Medical City in Plano can eat my ass. Fuck that place. Useless fucks.

I don't know the full story here, but doing that shit in the child's room is fucking stupid. The jarhead wasn't going anywhere and wasn't a threat till they made him one.

Sad but most are like a wind sock. Goes with whatever direction gives them the most blow.

Time to start kick dooring the gestapo in their own homes. Every cop that violates civil liberties should have a visit from some patriots.

Police treatment of whites hasn't changed much, has it?

Fuck those cops. Im a vet too and no fucking way would I leave my son's side. They tried to keep me from being with my wife when she gave birth and I let them know that was NOT a fucking option. They caved.

These cops need to be doxxed, then dealt with. Off the books.

Are we still pretending that video on a phone stays on a phone and isn't immediately synced to a video storage service or live streamed?

3
disenfranchisedParty [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

We are dealing with cops, not the smartest bunch.

Oppressors for hire tend to not have any morals either.

Unpopular opinion: What is it we tell people? Comply, then file complaints or fight it out in court later.

What did this guy do? NOT comply.

What lesson is it we want black people to understand? When stopped by the police, comply and submit. That's good advice for everyone, regardless of ethnicity.

We don't know the backstory here, we don't know why the cops wanted the phone, or why they wanted the guy to leave the room.

Demonspawn 4 points ago +4 / -0

Comply with lawful orders.

Demanding his cellphone without a warrant was not a lawful order.

2
bill_in_texas 2 points ago +2 / -0

I get that, I really do. Having said that, it was what, 4 to 1? There was absolutely no way our man was going to win that confrontation, and he'd have just as good of a civil suit against the cops for seizing his phone without a warrant without being tasered and arrested. Having said that, I guess if he had died during the struggle, his wife and kids would make more from the lawsuit.

The police had a right to investigate the injury to his kid. I think they could have handled it better, definitely, but asking questions about how a small child gets run over by a car isn't out of their wheelhouse.

That depends on if you believe the court system will deliver justice.

Some of us no longer have that belief.

Spez to add: They were completely unlawful and out of line.

The situation in his daughter’s hospital room began after Andersen told the detective to get a warrant before he or his fiancé would hand over their cell phones, Andersen recalled.

The detective briefly left the hospital room and then returned a few minutes later with three more police officers, Andersen said.

After threatening to arrest Andersen for obstruction, DelCore stepped behind him and said, “I’m going to go behind you because I don’t want anybody behind you getting hurt.”
