That will be the next frontier (if not already) for Big Tech censorship. Instead of censoring you now, they can go back and censor you in the past.

A legitimate cloud drive company could make big money if they want it.

My stand has been clear: get your own server.

There’s a reason Hillary had hers in a basement bathroom.

You can mount google drive as an encrypted drive so google can't tell what you are storing but it is a pain in the butt and all the google features don't work on encrypted files. Once you set it up and get it all working it is nice though.

You know that saying, "the internet is forever"? It doesn't matter what service comes out, eventually whatever you put on the internet will eventually find it's way out to anyone willing to look.

The last safe bastion of privacy was the mind, but even that will soon be gone with implants like the one Elon is working on.

Will you trade privacy for telepathy? Because that is what the future holds.

Roll your own.

Mega? But I'd aim more for something decentralized, or that doesn't so much rely on one particular server.

Cloud is simply someone else’s tape drive and disk

After Parler there was an uptick in businesses looking at their own cloud solutions so as not to be caught in a hostage situation

That it won’t exist.
