I even told the managers that I had a medical exemption and showed them the Virginia governor's order makes exemptions for medical exemptions. They BOTH said that corporate policy is stricter than the Governor's order and kicked me out. They escorted me out like I was some kind of criminal and talked to me with rude condescension. Sometimes I think I'm the only person in NoVa trying to resist the secular burka. Feels bad man.

Home Depot corporate policy is NOT stricter than the governor's order.

Maybe the regional manager is pulling some bullshit, but I go to home depot without a mask all the time without issue (entire twin city metro area)

hansgruber7 [S] 12 points ago +12 / -0

Yeah, it sounded like bullshit because I went to a different Home Depot a few weeks ago and despite being stopped three times and told to wear a mask, they backed down at that one. Hard to believe policy changed in the last few weeks.

Since this whole thing started, I had one incident at the home depot in North Town Mall like a week after corporate put out a thing saying they won't enforce it. Some black guy called them faggots and took off while they called the cops. I was calm and they just escorted me around while I shopped... Told them I was going to report them to corporate for harassment. I've been back to that same home depot & didn't have a problem.

Still better than Menards

Our HD here in Northern California has been cool too. I’ve never worn a mask inside there while shopping and have never gotten anything said to me other than “have a nice day” as I was checking out.

It must be regional paranoia in his case.

horsefacestorm 3 points ago +3 / -0

Menards is one of the worst in my area too.

2
AceOfTrumps 2 points ago +2 / -0

& besides the mask nazis you have plebs doing grocery shopping there clogging up aisles and checkout lanes. I really can't stand menards anymore

3
horsefacestorm 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yeah and they typically have only 2 checkout lanes open at any given time.

3
JaneMN 3 points ago +3 / -0

Menards and Best Buy are my consistant nazi enforcers. Seldom at walmart and its just a hey you got a mask ? Nope Do you want a mask? Nope. Dont really wanna list the good guys for fear of creating Karen Attacks.

thisisatestof2 5 points ago +5 / -0

In my area one grocery chain it’s corporate policy is basically will put a sign on the door saying wear masks but other than that we won’t say anything or force it, however certain managers will try to enforce it.

Conservativechick 4 points ago +4 / -0

Me too. Never once been hassled there.

14
arkivx 14 points ago +15 / -1

Get a lawyer. This happened to me and I called corporate and asked for the videos and any audio recording to be preserved for my lawyer and the walmart manager called me the next day and begged me not to sue them.

13
hansgruber7 [S] 13 points ago +13 / -0

Really? Wow. They told me corporate fully backed them up on their policy.

11
arkivx 11 points ago +11 / -0

Yeah, it was almost a year ago. I have the whole interaction on video where I tell them they are violating my civil rights and discriminating against me for my disability.

5
hansgruber7 [S] 5 points ago +5 / -0

I feel like things have changed a lot on this front in the last year. A year ago I used to go to stores with no mask and didn't run into half the problems I run into now.

5
arkivx 5 points ago +5 / -0

Call corporate, complain and tell them you're considering getting a lawyer for violating your civil rights and the Americans with disabilities act. It worked for me. They told me they would never ask me about a mask at that store again and haven't since.

4
megxit 4 points ago +4 / -0

Call their bluff. The more adamant they are they more important it is for push back.

All that happened is nobody challenged them in a year.

The manager I ran into was a full blown fascist about it. Of course that's how everyone in is NoVa.

Lol. It's all bluster. Always is with store managers.

9
Fignugent 9 points ago +11 / -2

you can literally sue them if you documented this in any meaningful way

7
thelastlast 7 points ago +7 / -0

they will start going insane as they realize they are wrong. i've seen it before.

mark my words these people will get more and more erratic, stay frosty.

5
Dpatriot 5 points ago +5 / -0

I go into home depot all the time without a mask on. This entire plandemic. And Walmart too.

5
pddx22 5 points ago +6 / -1

Keep the faith, fellow pede! You are not alone.

Find a new hardware hangout--you don't want their Chinese crap anyway!

5
dukeofdoorcounty 5 points ago +5 / -0

I'll bet a thousand dollars worth of stuff was stolen from Home Depot while they were escorting you out. Priorities, you know.

4
Choomguy 4 points ago +4 / -0

I went into home depot a few months ago in vienna with no issues. But they are fucking nazis down there, guy at costco told me to wear one while i was outside putting air in my tires. I told him to fuck off.

I was supposed to do a pretty big job down there this year, but i blew it off just because they are crazy down there.

7
hansgruber7 [S] 7 points ago +7 / -0

Any national chain like Home Depot or Walmart is full-blown fascist around here. It's like entering a cult gathering without your creepy white robe on or being a woman in Saudi Arabia without her burka on. Corporate America has gone full-blown fascist.

I'm in Vt.. I feel ya man. Still rocking the old school naked face everywhere I go.

4
BadManOrange 4 points ago +4 / -0

Where I live it's still 100% compliance with masks while in stores, you can't avoid it.

Outdoor mask mandate is getting lifted as of this weekend, so at least that's good not that I wear that shit outside. However, it's impossible to think you'll be able to walk into a store without it covering at least your mouth. I usually just drop it below my nose as soon as I walk past the guard at the entrance so I can breathe and then just raise it up if I walk by an employee, but either way, compliance level is so high that you can't do anything about it indoors right now. I'm glad that people who live in red areas don't always have the rats waiting to attack, but most of us in blue states don't have that luxury.

2
Gnometard 2 points ago +2 / -0

We need to focus the blue areas. Address the issue where it is

4
MAGAconvert 4 points ago +4 / -0

You’re not. Also, do you go to the NoVa MAGA meetups?

1
MikeObamasVeineyCock 1 point ago +1 / -0

What's this about? I've just been going to Florida.

1
hansgruber7 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

No, but I'm super paranoid that any NoVa MAGA meetup would be a setup. This place is Gestapo central. Am I being too paranoid?

2
MAGAconvert 2 points ago +2 / -0

Definitely not a setup! I've been going for months. Just a bunch of fun people to eat and drink with, I'll message you the details.

crumbhole 4 points ago +4 / -0

meanwhile in tennessee... i took a friend to the emergency room yesterday and i didn't wear a mask. an employee handed me one. i put it in my pocket. no one said a word about it. i was the only maskless person in the whole joint.

i don't wear covid masks ever but no one seems to fight me over it.

1
hansgruber7 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

I never wear one either but people fight me over it all the time and it's getting worse. I guess that's the difference between Tennessee and the liberal utopia that is Northern Virginia.

4
Libertynfreedom4ever 4 points ago +4 / -0

This is why it’s corporate fascism. Your government is not protecting your rights. Unless companies can’t demand you wear a mask, we don’t have our rights... it’s ridiculous

3
EnforcerDesu 3 points ago +3 / -0

No problem here in Georgia. No mask in Lowe's, Home Depot, Walmart, Publix, Kroger.

3
estimated_prophet 3 points ago +3 / -0

Home depot and Wal Mart don't say shit about masks in the free nation of Florida.

3
Hellvtx6 3 points ago +4 / -1

You can sue the people personally and not the corporation!! A reminder to all big corporate is more of an enemy than the libtards!!

4
hansgruber7 [S] 4 points ago +4 / -0

I'm not sure a lawsuit will go anywhere. Has anyone had success with this?

4
jenroyandmoss 4 points ago +4 / -0

The threat alone is sometimes successful and, you don't need a great or expensive lawyer, just the suit itself ties up resources, corporate time and sends a message.

3
AceOfTrumps 3 points ago +3 / -0

I looked into it and ADA violation lawsuits prohibit awarding the plaintiff money, except for lawyer fees. You might be able to get some $ if they decide to settle out of court

Liberal utopia a.k.a. hell on Earth dystopia.

2
Space_Force 2 points ago +2 / -0

Last I knew Walmart's policy was you have to wear a mask but also, we're not going to kick you out for not wearing one.

2
Tryan 2 points ago +2 / -0

I NEVER wore one in a store. The South did better at ignoring the morons.

2
stealthboy 2 points ago +2 / -0

I hear you, fren. Northern Virginia is behind enemy lines.

I did manage to go out this weekend and go to two establishments for food and beer without a face diaper. Feels good man.

2
ezekielBulver 2 points ago +2 / -0

What state? I've been to Walmart and Home Depot without masks. I'll leave before I wear one.

1
hansgruber7 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Northern Virginia. I leave before I wear one too. Problem is I'm getting kicked out more and more from the national chains.

2
ezekielBulver 2 points ago +2 / -0

Very annoying. Never back down!

The other day someone tried to kick me out, so I said "you have curbside service right?" - then they went ahead and let me buy my item after all... hahahaha

1

I go to Home Depot all the time. No mask. Sign says wear a mask. I ignore it. Nobody bothers me. I’m not the only one either. But I don’t live in a communist hell hole either. I live in GA.

NO blacks allowed should be cool then too, it's a private business after all.

4
hansgruber7 [S] 4 points ago +4 / -0

This person will probably be heading to the labor camps one day and as long as the government uses a private contractor to haul him off, he'll be fine with it.

Private business are not above the law.
