Been arguing with people on Reddit about this audit. My god do they have trouble justifying their ridiculous belief considering how transparent this process seems to be. The brainwashing going on over there is frightening.
Basically fraud is non existent and everything that is coming from a news source or other entity that can be somehow tied to the right has been debunked.
The company that runs the audit, Cyber Ninja, can't be trusted because one of their employees believes there was fraud this election.
They somehow manage to completely and fully trust the state, which has one representative telling them how their two previously completed audits were authentic and that no fraud was found, disregarding the utter lack of transparency.
That last point is like a death sentence to their arguments, because they have 0 retort when it comes to that. All I have to do is link the video stream and tell them how they're recording everything being done. That's usually where the conversation ends.
Lot of circular logic, I'm sure:
"Fraud doesn't exist because the people claiming it does aren't reputable."
"The people claiming fraud aren't reputable because they're claiming fraud exists, which it doesn't"
Some that'll put their heads spinning:
"Ad Homenim: Attacking a person's character or motivations rather than a position or argument."
"Appeal to authority: an assertion is deemed true because of the position or authority of the person asserting it."
For them to logically determine this audit is bunk, they MUST attack directly the processes undergone or the conclusions; if it is determined that a sizable portion of ballots do not have watermarks, for example, while many, supposedly from the same distribution point, do, they must justify the discrepancy. Either one group is fraudulent (proving massive fraud) or there is some other reason some are watermarked; regardless, the existence of watermarks on any shatters the narrative entirely, as it was repeatedly claimed that watermarks are "debunked".
Realistically, they cannot attack this audit until all details are confirmed and understood. I don't believe watermarks have been confirmed. I don't know if fraud has been found. Until then, there is little logical basis to attack the audit, except perhaps on premise, which is limited to insignificant arguments in the face of the claims laid forth by many, including the auditors.
Aren't you also worried it's only so transparent because they know it'll be a good audit on bad source data because they had 5 months to cheat "correctly"?
I think its primarily that audits should be conducted in a very careful non-partisan way. The people funding and conducting the audit have a vested interest in a particular outcome, and dont have neutral oversight.
