Sorry to hear you have issues. I'm praying for you, friend.

I have some myself, lol. We're all in this together, though, so it might help to know you're not alone.

We are not all in this together. We are all in this apart. Can’t even go to church or the bar right now so we are definitely not in this together.

I disagree.

And I can go wherever the hell I want. Maybe you should move.

Doctors are now Big Pharma puppets. I've been off antidepressants for 11 months after more than 30 years of being ping ponged from one SSRI to another. "Doctors" thought they could come up with the perfect "cocktail" of multiple drugs at the same time. Years of this abuse has reeked havoc on my mind and body. The more you research anti-depressants, the more pissed off you'll become. I am in a special kind of hell enduring withdrawal from this evil.

Find another doctor. Do not stop taking your meds.

If you don't think you'll be able to have access to your meds you can ease yourself down depending on what they are.

You can look up titrate off "name of medication"

Amazing how dependent we can get to anxiety and depression medicines. I believe there are people who genuinely need medicine, but I also believe a LOT of people are pushed onto medicine they don't need. We live in a quick fix solution society and we seem unwilling to explore why we really get anxiety and depression and other mental health issues.

If you have bipolar then you’re probably going to have to take meds. There’s nothing wrong with taking meds. These days a bunch of them are generic and are cheap so it’s not like drug companies are making any real money off of them.

Mood swings and depression are signs of nutritional deficiencies. Magnesium is vital for mental and overall health. You need magnesium to fully absorb D. Research but start there . I personally think drugs like Zoloft eat your brain.

I’ll never forget a pop quiz rush gave on his show. He rattled off a list of all the big mass shooters and asked what they all had in common.

A very astute caller pointed out that none of them were NRA members which was correct, but the answer rush was looking for was that they were all on Zoloft. (I think the caller still got the free iPhone/MacBook/whatever).

Damn I miss rush 😢

Nothing wrong with being on meds. Millions of people are. Find yourself a good doctor who can help you. Good luck and God Bless you.

Yeah, good luck with that. When the SHTF and you can’t pick up your meds from Rite Aid.....

Well, good luck defending your property from looters and joggers.

"I am happy to not have to play the game anymore"

every doctor would say this if they could. medicine is fucked.

to OP: find a doctor that agrees to try to help you safely get off them right at the top of the first visit. they're out there, you may have to shop. (also some of them will say they'll help you do that then never plan to, watch out for that)

Your doctor's post is likely more him not 'hitting his numbers' than the drugs prescribed. I've seen a lot of good doctors fired because they 'spent too much time with patients'. Sadly, the healthcare field is just another business.

With Bi-polar, it's almost necessary to be medicated. Do you also see a psycologist? (You don't have to answer if you're not comfortable.) Seeing a phycologist & psychiatrist together is the best treatment.

Wow! I wonder if you could contact her and she could advise you.... Maybe she will stay a private practice

All of my doctors have gone to Concierge medicine. It is a big bummer to get a relationship with a dr and then they get out.

I asked my last one why she was changing, she said the same thing. Healthcare is about the money not about the patient or care.

Concierge care is basically having a personal doctor on call for $2,000 a year on top of co-pays and insurance.

There is something wrong with a business that profits on top of people's suffering.

They can make money on elective care but they should not be able to make a profit on suffering.

I'm curious, were you born premature? My wife was born a preemie, and her body doesn't create sufficient serotonin, and creates bi-polar like conditions if she is not steady on her meds. Just asking for a personal poll, cuz I have a theory. Don't answer if it makes you uncomfortable..🐸🇺🇸

Have any of your doctors ask you about your diet or your exercise regiment? I know it doesn't work for everyone but, speaking from experience, cutting all processed sugars from your diet as well as junk and fast food and exercising daily dose wonders for your mental state.

Meds are fine. I take meds for depression and ADD. If you REALLY want to go off of them, do it very slowly. I'd really suggest finding a new doctor and having them supervise it, maybe change to less powerful medications if you find you're still having slight issues.

As for the magnesium theory, doesn't work in everyone. I've taken magnesium for depression and serious migrains. All it did was give me the Hershey squirts because I already had enough magnesium and it passed straight through. After being tested for vitamin and nutrient levels, the only thing I was short of was Vitamin D, which considering I've become a mushroom from constant severe migraines is understandable.🙃

psyche meds are poison. They are not your friend. They are destroying your mind and body. Get off that shit if you value your sanity or your health.

Did you have those issues from an early age or did you get them when you were older

2
Dum_spiro_spero 2 points ago +2 / -0

I'm sorry fren. I have to agree with what your doctor said. Most of western medicine is completely about profits. Healthy people don't pay the bills.

That said, there are still good doctors out there. It may take a ton of research but they exist. Have you tried looking into naturopath and or functional or integrative medicine?

Might sound crazy but some if the very best doctors I've found have been shunned by the mainstream. One is on a site called quack watch (which is a biased piece of crap website like snipes for doctors) and has been extremely effective at diagnosing underlying issues. Moral of the story for me is, nothing is what it seems. Get beyond the narrative and you'll find answers.

When you find the Root Cause of your issue, YOU will find the Answer... the Cause is the Cure... yes, takes deeply analyzing yourself... no pill, potion, or lotion can give you the fix... it takes you doing the hard work... do not even depend on another human being as someone will always let you down & you can’t put expectations & high demands on another human being for what you need... the answer is inside of you all ready, but you have to do the time putting in the challenging work to fix yourself. YOU ARE YOUR ONLY DOCTOR...so love yourself enough to fix YOU

Depending on what meds you’re on (if not controlled substances and more mood stabilizers/antidepressants) you can get them shipped from other countries like India. Haven’t done it myself personally but I have family members that do it all the time. Might help to hold you over until you wean off or find a new MD.

FreeJack2020 2 points ago +2 / -0

riiiight, that's almost as dumb as doing commie fentanol.

1
Kar3212345 1 point ago +1 / -0

Not really. Do your research and Canada is an option as well. If all else fails there is purple pill. It is the online equivalent of buying some antibiotics in Mexico. Same shit different name. If you want fentanyl, Xanax, adderall, or other stuff then you’ll be in trouble.

Mummabear20 1 point ago +1 / -0

I believe you can wean off them but I think it is better to do under medical supervision, especially as you have Bipolar 2. Withdrawal is really rough; headaches and nausea. Cognitive behavioural therapy and counselling can help with the anxiety and depression. You have to be willing to do the work. Medication can be a bit of a bandaid.

These meds are poison. It's not ok to be on them. They will affect your long term health negatively as you know. The key is to slowly ease yourself off them. It took me years to get off ADHD meds when i was a kid. That shit is horrible and i hope you can get off it. It's a big part of the commie depopulation plan that is not talked about around here.
